Send from AI to the Inbox

Bring what you reach in ChatGPT, Claude, or Claude Code into your ThinkSpace inbox

What it does

Conclusions and material you reach while talking with ChatGPT or Claude can be sent straight to your ThinkSpace inbox. The inbox shows the same content on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

AI does not create cards. You read what arrives in the inbox and decide whether it becomes a card and where it goes. ThinkSpace is built on one idea: AI gathers, you build the map.

Connection URL: https://mcp.thinkspace-app.com/mcp
You can also copy it in the app: Inbox → link icon (top right) → “Send from AI”.

Connecting

Add ThinkSpace as a “connector” in your AI service. ThinkSpace's connection page opens; sign in with your email and password and press Connect.

Claude (claude.ai / desktop / mobile)

  1. Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector
  2. Name: “ThinkSpace”. URL: https://mcp.thinkspace-app.com/mcp. Add it
  3. Press “Connect”. ThinkSpace's connection page opens; sign in and press Connect

ChatGPT

  1. Settings → Connectors → Create (developer mode)
  2. Name: “ThinkSpace”. MCP server URL: https://mcp.thinkspace-app.com/mcp. Authentication: OAuth
  3. ThinkSpace's connection page opens; sign in and press Connect

Once ThinkSpace is listed in the plugin directory, adding it from the list leads to the same page.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http thinkspace https://mcp.thinkspace-app.com/mcp

Then run /mcp in a session, choose thinkspace, and sign in. The connection page opens in your browser.

The page will say “This sends access to an app on this computer.” That is expected when connecting a local app such as Claude Code. Continue only if you just started the connection yourself.

If you use Sign in with Apple (connect with an app code)

If you sign in to ThinkSpace with Apple, you have no password. Connect with a 6-digit code issued by the app instead.

  1. In the ThinkSpace app, open a canvas and then the Inbox
  2. Tap the link icon at the top right of the inbox to open “Send from AI”
  3. Tap Get a connection code. A 6-digit code appears (valid for 10 minutes)
  4. On ThinkSpace's connection page opened by the AI service, choose Connect with an app code, enter the code, and press Connect

A code works once. If it expires, tap “Get a new code”. Users with an email and password can use this method too.

Sending

Once connected, just ask in the conversation.

“Send this conclusion to my ThinkSpace inbox.”

“Send that answer to ThinkSpace.”

The AI sends the full text of that message, unchanged (no summarizing or rewriting). A short draft title is attached as a handle; you are expected to rewrite it when you make a card.

Open the inbox in ThinkSpace and it is there. If not, close and reopen the inbox, or bring the app to the front.

Checking and revoking connections

Inbox → link icon (top right) → “Send from AI”. Under Connected you see each AI service and when it last sent something.

Press Revoke and that connection can no longer send. The next time the AI service tries, it asks you to connect again; reconnect if you want to.

Removing the connector on the AI service's side also stops sending. Doing both is the surest way.

What is sent and where it is stored

FAQ

The connection page says “This app registered itself; its name is not verified.”

The AI service registered its own name. Connections from Claude and ChatGPT show a fixed name, so this message does not appear for them. If an app you do not recognize asks to connect, press Cancel.

“That code is invalid or has expired.”

Codes expire after 10 minutes and work once. Tap “Get a new code” in the app and enter the new one. Too many wrong attempts in a short time block input for a while.

“This page has expired.”

The connection page was left open too long, or reopened in another browser. Start again from the connect button in the AI service.

I sent something but it is not in the inbox

The inbox fetches when the app comes to the front and when you open the inbox. Close and reopen it. If it still does not arrive, check that the AI service is listed under Connected in “Send from AI”. A revoked connection returns an error to the AI service.

Can I send from Claude Code on my Mac without an account?

If ThinkSpace is installed on the same Mac, the local MCP server (thinkspace-mcp) works without one. It is Mac-only and still delivers through ThinkSpace's normal sync. Sending from other devices, Claude, or ChatGPT requires the connection described on this page.
